Powder Mixing Production Line

Project Background

In 2022, SIEHE Group supplied a 3000L Horizontal Plough Mixer to a customer in Mexico. After several years of material production, the customer expressed high satisfaction with the equipment's quality and subsequently ordered two sets of powder mixing production lines- the horizontal plough mixer chosen for the mixing equipment - for Picex chemicals and MULTICOLOR PCX to produce high-quality decorative concrete.

Process Flow

Considering the plant's height of 7 meters, the entire system integration design is compact and efficient. It includes several key components: the unpacking and loading system, mixing system, finished product packaging system, control system, and dust removal and air supply system, among others. This streamlined design facilitates optimal operational efficiency and productivity.

1) Unpacking and Feeding System

The unpacking and feeding system is designed for the efficient feeding and conveying of powder materials. It incorporates functions for unpacking, screening, impurities removal, and dust filtration. effectively addressing the issue of airborne dust during the feeding process. This system also prevents foreign objects and large particles from entering the mixing system. The powder is conveyed to the mixer via a vacuum feeder through a bottom hose.

2) Mixing System

To mitigate the agglomeration of cement, sand, and other materials, a horizontal plough mixer has been selected. This mixer features a three-dimensional design for its spindle and mixing head, along with high-speed plough equipped with fly-cutters. This configuration effectively breaks up powder clumps, ensuring thorough mixing and a higher degree of uniformity. The discharge port at the bottom of the cylinder is equipped with a pneumatic flap valve, allowing for quick and labor-saving operation, along with excellent regulation capabilities.

3) Finished Product Packaging System

The finished mixed material is transferred to the finished product warehouse via the discharge port of the mixer. The warehouse is equipped with an arch-breaking device to prevent material bridging, and the discharge port connects to a pneumatic butterfly valve and a valve packing machine. The packing machine automatically controls the feeding speed based on output signals from a load cell, facilitating efficient packing. The screw-type feeding mechanism ensures high packing precision with minimal dust generation.

4) Control System

The entire mixing production line operates on a PLC and touch screen control system, which simplifies operation. An independent vertical electric control cabinet manages the start-up and shutdown processes, as well as the opening and closing of equipment such as the vacuum loader, plough mixer, and finished product bin.

5) Dust Filtration & Air Supply System

The system employs a cartridge-type dust collector that requires low energy consumption and a compact footprint, with a filtering area of up to 60 m². It features a pulse blowback device and a collection hopper for effective dust clearance. Additionally, an air compressor, paired with a 1000L air storage tank, is positioned outdoors to provide a reliable air source for the entire system.

A finished product bin is strategically designed at the lower part of the mixer. This allows for the immediate transfer of the finished product from one batch into the bin, enabling the closure of the mixer's discharge port. Consequently, the mixing of the next batch can commence simultaneously. This configuration allows for the synchronization of the mixing and packing operations, significantly reducing production time and enhancing overall efficiency.

The Horizontal Plough Mixer represents a new generation of mixing equipment characterized by high efficiency, uniformity, effective crushing, low energy consumption, and minimal pollution.

This technology is derived from German technology, and the mixer comprises multiple sets of ploughs and flying knives that operate concurrently. This dual action not only ensures excellent mixing but also enhances crushing and dispersing capabilities.

The versatility of this product is noteworthy; it is suitable for mixing powders, powders with liquids, and powders with granules. It excels in applications such as dispersing caked powders during mixing, atomizing liquids to facilitate adsorption reactions with powders, and conducting vacuum heating and drying processes. As a multifunctional mixing machine, it offers a wide range of applications across various industries.

Conclusion
This production line completes the assembly of equipment and steel structure platform in SIEHE factory, conducts video conference acceptance with customers, and fully presents the functions of each part of the production line. After acceptance, the equipment will be disassembled, loaded and shipped, and assembled again after arriving at the customer site.
Not only from the unpacking of products, the mixing of materials, to the packaging of finished products, each subsystem is carefully designed, while considering the dust removal and gas supply of the entire system, one-stop service, so that customers are more relaxed.
